REVELATION: A DEVILMAN ZINE

Revelation: A Devilman Zine is a for-profit Devilman physical and digital fanzine that was organized on Twitter, Tumblr and Discord, and was sold on Bigcartel along with its sister zines, Sabbath Zine and Ryokira Zine. The zine focused on reimagining core scenes from the original Devilman manga, one scene per artist. I don't recall how these scenes were distributed among participants. The zine included twenty-two illustrations, plus illustrations made for merch you could buy in some of the bundles. Both Revelation and Sabbath had the following purchase options, separately: digital PDF release for 15USD, physical zine release for 20USD, merch bundle for 30USD. Additionally, there was a bundle named Genesis, which included the merch from both zines, plus the limited Ryokira zine.

I had an unlucky time with this zine. It seems a mod was in charge of the files and did not send my file to the other mods before they disappeared. My piece was not included in the zine, but the mods were able to include it as a postcard extra, in one of the bundles perhaps? I didn't check the Discord server as often as I should have, and I unfortunately ended up missing a re-confirmation of participants, so my name was not included in the zine either. I never received a digital copy, so I don't know what the zine looks like. I don't know how well the zine sold, but I received about 10USD.

Sirene 🔞🌶️🥩

Devilman fan art. Guro. A monstrous corpse stands over a grassy field. The torso of a harpy-like creature, Sirene, has merged with the headless body of a rhino-like monster, Kaim. Sirene has large wings that sprout from her feathery head, but she's missing the left one, along with her left eye, now a bleeding empty socket. Her right arm is bent slightly upwards, strong, large claws on display, but her left has been ripped from the elbow down and shoved through her belly. Blood trickles down from her socket and mouth to her feathery crotch. Her corpse has been frozen with a victorious expression. Kaim's body is on all fours, with thick skin that looks like armor. He has two large horns that come out of his shoulders. The area near his segmented neck and horns is oddly vascular. In front of this monstrous corpse are a pair of bandaged up boys, one blond and one with black hair, with their back to the viewer. They crouch on the grass, looking up at Sirene's face. The blond character seems to be supporting the black-haired character's body, holding him in his arms. The burning ring of an eclipse looms behind her. The illustration is signed as spillingdown.

There she is... There's many different aspects of this drawing that I appreciate, but I'm not fond of the pen I used, which takes away from the overall experience to me. But, I can at least say I like the vaginal merging of Sirene and Kaim's bodies along with Kaim's vascular corpse. The boobies are quite nice.
